This car came out of Florida it was garage kept and is in excellent condition. It is as good as it gets when talking about these cars. One in the condition of this one is rare to say the least. It has been in Florida for most of its existence. Everything works on it including the side vents which still open and function. The car is as clean on the bottom as the top.

This is a one of a kind collector car! It has been fully restored and is on like new condition. The car came out of the sunny state of Florida where it has been in shows and kept indoors for most of its life. There are only a few of these cars known to still exist and even fewer to be in the condition as this one. Everything on the car is original to the car but it has been restored and painted. Never any body work needed to be done during the restoration the frame and body on the car are as solid as they came from the factory. The car is as good as they get and will hopefully find its way into the garage of a collector who knows its true worth.

    Sellers description:
This XK150 was completed on February 15, 1960, and then shipped to Jaguar of Eastern Canada. It was equipped with the desirable 3.8-liter engine and fitted with the so-called B-type cylinder head, as found on the 3.4-liter Special Equipment model. Its 220 horsepower was a welcome addition, as the Standard and SE 3.4-liters produced 190- and 210-horsepower ratings, respectively. This lovely example has undergone a proper and very high-quality restoration performed by Jaguar professionals, with virtually no expense spared. The body received a bare-metal refinish in fresh red paint, with carefully fitted panels, and it is handsomely accompanied by a black convertible top and beautifully restored brightwork. The interior has been trimmed in subtle black leather, which complements the exterior beautifully. Additionally, the engine, gearbox, drivetrain, and all systems were thoroughly rebuilt. In addition to the desirable 3.8-liter engine this model is equipped with dual fog lamps, a proper dual-exhaust system, and a fully equipped trunk.

    Car now offered at:

    hymanltd.com/vehicles/6761-1960-jaguar-xk150-3-8-drophead/

    Seller's description:

    St. Louis, Missouri

Offered here is a splendid XK150 with the versatile and lovely drophead coupe body, and the rare, highly desirable 3.8-litre engine. According to the accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, this car was produced in February 1960 and dispatched for Jaguar Cars, New York, about a month later. The factory build records show this is a genuine 3.8-litre car equipped with the extremely rare optional Borg-Warner automatic gearbox. Originally finished in cream over blue trim, it was the recipient of a comprehensive restoration and is now finished in a striking combination of Carmen Red with black upholstery and hood. The older restoration is well-maintained and has mellowed gently, giving the car an appealing character that invites regular use. The red paintwork is in excellent order all around, with good detailing and finish quality. The brightwork and body fittings are in similarly good condition, and exterior details include correct Lucas headlights and fog lamps, chrome exhaust tips, and beautiful chrome wire wheels fitted with period-correct Pirelli Cinturato tires that provide the proper stance and handling characteristics.

The primary appeal of the XK150 is that it offers considerably more space and comfort compared to its older brethren, making it the ideal choice for drivers. This example features a pleasingly well-restored cabin, trimmed in the proper materials, including leather seats, wool carpets, and vinyl coverings on the door panels and dash. The seats display a bit of light creasing consistent with regular use, while some minor wear is noted on the driver’s outer bolster. Greeting the pilot is a factory-correct four-spoke steering wheel and an array of Smiths instruments in the central fascia, which is correctly trimmed in gray vinyl. For the first time in an XK sports car, there was no wood trim offered across the range. Jaguar employed an unusual but creative solution for the gear selector, mounting it horizontally on the dash, just below the gauges. The black canvas soft fits well and is insulated and lined with a broadcloth headliner to reduce noise, and includes a matching canvas boot cover. A period-correct tool kit accompanies the sale.

Per the Heritage Certificate, the original numbers-matching 3.8-litre inline-six remains in its rightful place under the bonnet. The engine displays a slight patina from age and use, yet it is quite tidy, properly-detailed, and attractive – dressed in its signature polished alloy cam covers and twin SU carburetors. It runs well, with the smoothness and ample low-end torque that defines Jaguar’s legendary big ‘six.

With its powerful 3.8-litre engine and rarely-seen automatic gearbox, this XK150 falls firmly on the Grand Touring side of the XK-series scale, providing its occupants with relaxed, easy-going performance with all of the style and character that enthusiasts expect from these iconic Jaguars.

This 1960 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupe underwent a color change to red with a black soft top over black leather as part of a refurbishment completed prior to the current owner’s acquisition in 2020. Subsequent work has involved resealing the 3.8-liter inline-six, adding a PerTronix electronic ignition, fitting a Bell stainless-steel exhaust system, installing Wilwood front disc brakes, and more as detailed below. The car wears Lucas driving lights as well as 16″ knock-off wire wheels and is equipped with dual SU carburetors along with a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission. Inside, adjustable seats are accompanied by a heater as well as Smiths and Lucas instrumentation. This XK150 is now offered on dealer consignment by K2 Motorcars—a BaT Local Partner —with a tool kit, a vehicle handbook, a copy of a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, service records from current ownership, and a clean Florida title.

Finished from the factory in Cream, the car was repainted red as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. The black folding soft top was replaced in 2020, and the car is further equipped with a one-piece windshield, side mirrors, Lucas driving lights, fog lights, and full-width chrome bumpers with overriders. LED taillamp bulbs were added in January 2025.

The 16″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped with 185-width Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that were mounted in 2025, per the seller. The car was specified from the factory with four-wheel disc brakes and was fitted with Wilwood alloy calipers and stainless-steel braided lines up front in January 2025.

The re-trimmed interior houses adjustable seats trimmed in black leather, which extends to the upper dash. Interior appointments include a cabin heater, a defroster, wind-up side windows, door storage pockets, a locking gloebox and a folding rear bulkhead. Dynamat insulation was installed under the black carpets in January 2025.

The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock as well as a 140-mph speedometer alongside gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature as well as a Lucas ammeter. The five-digit odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.8-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 220 horsepower. Work since 2021 has involved the following:

Installed aluminum radiator and electric fan; fitted Dynalite alternator setup; added a PerTronix electronic ignition system and high-output coil; refurbished the fuel system; installed a Facet electric fuel pump; fitted a high-torque starter; added an on-board charger and electrical cutoff switch

Modified and greased the throttle linkages

    Installed Bell stainless-steel exhaust system

Removed and resealed engine; replaced fan control unit; installed high-flow oil pump; retrofitted spin-on oil filter; installed rear main-seal conversion kit

    Replaced fuel tank and batteries

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission, which was flushed in January 2025.

A copy of a Production Record Trace Certificate from the Jaguar Heritage Trust lists a production date of February 9, 1960, along with serial numbers and colors.

A tool kit is included in the sale.
