This one owner Jaguar is a very original car that makes a great candidate to take to a Show, or Show/Driver level. It is hard to find good, honest original cars like this one. The fit is very good, and it has many factory features and original parts such as 4-speed with overdrive, original air filter box, carburetors, voltage regulator, and much more. This car has always been well serviced and maintained. Although the paint is average, and is done to the original color combination, it would benefit from a new paint job and a new interior. The top is relatively new, as well as the tires. Most of the original parts and hardware under the bonnet are in good serviceable condition. In 1961 the original owner had an unstamped 3.8 block installed by the dealership for greater performance, but the head is the original one it came with the car. It also has dual exhaust. This Jaguar is a good running and driving car that starts up immediately with the overdrive still working. It comes with a Heritage Certificate of Authenticity which verifies it is still in its original color combination. Part of this XK-150S's history is that it was raced and comes with programs and a very thick binder of documentation from birth until present. There is very minimal repairable rust in the pillar posts, as is common and during restoration would be repaired. This XK-150S OTS shows its original patina, and is presents as an excellent opportunity for the Jaguar collector to have a classic to drive now and then have restored to a Show or Show/Driver level car by Classic Showcase.

    Car still at Classic Showcase

This 150S was a rust-free limited ownership example that underwent a documented, concours-level restoration performed to the highest standards by our team. The result is a show-quality Roadster that will appeal to the most discerning Jaguar enthusiast or collector.

This XK-150S has an impressive provenance, with limited ownership history and long-term care by a dedicated Jaguar collector. During its life it was also raced, and today it is accompanied by period programs and a very thick binder of documentation chronicling its journey from new through restoration. It retains many original components, including its head, 4-speed with overdrive, triple SU carburetors, dual fuel pumps, filter box, voltage regulator, and more, as it left the factory. The Heritage Certificate of Authenticity further verifies its original color combination.

In 1961, the XK-150 S’s original owner further enhanced performance by having an unstamped 3.8 block installed by the dealership, while retaining the original cylinder head. This period modification is documented in its history and adds another layer of interest to its already impressive provenance.

Included in the restoration process of this XK-150 S: it was stripped to bare metal, placed on a rotisserie, metal finished, leaded, prepared for primer, sealer, paint, base, clear, and was color sanded and buffed to the fabulous finish that you see today. All body parts were fitted to the car in our assembly area. The cabin of the roadster received a completely new custom tailored and fit Tan interior in all the correct materials by our master trimmer. All of the Jaguar’s mechanical systems were completely gone through and were restored or replaced as needed, including: the fuel, electrical, cooling, and hydraulic systems. Mechanical components were rebuilt, including the engine, transmission, rear end, and suspension, and were installed to the 150 S in our assembly area.

With its documented restoration, exceptional fit and finish, and rare specification, this XK-150S Roadster now stands as a concours-level show car, an outstanding piece of Jaguar history, and a superb choice for the most discerning of tastes. Whether destined for the show field or spirited touring, this XK-150S offers its next owner the chance to enjoy one of Jaguar’s most significant models in exceptional restored form!
