This 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE Drophead Coupe was acquired by the current owner in 2006. It was refinished in red over tan leather during previous ownership, and power is provided by a 3.4-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a tan convertible top, 16″ painted wire wheels, dual SU carburetors, chrome bumpers, and burl wood interior trim. Service in May 2026 reportedly included cleaning the fuel tank and replacing the fuel pump, spark plugs, and starting carburetor solenoid. This XK120 is now offered on dealer consignment in California with service records, a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and a California title.
The car was finished in Pastel Blue from the factory and was repainted in its current shade of red during previous ownership. Exterior details include a split windshield, chrome front bumpers and rear bumperettes, and polished dual exhaust outlets. A tan convertible top was installed in the early 2000s. The seller notes some flaws in the paintwork.
The 16″ painted wire wheels wear Jaguar-branded two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 6.00 Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires that are more than five years old. The car is equipped with an independent front suspension, rear leaf springs, and four-wheel drum brakes.
Originally trimmed in blue, the cabin features bucket seats upholstered in tan leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Features include burl wood trim, a slide-out storage tray, and a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a burl wood instrument panel housing Smiths gauges including a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, an ammeter, and gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.4-liter inline-six features dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 180 horsepower. Service performed by British Car Repair in San Rafael, California, in May 2026 reportedly included cleaning the fuel tank and replacing the fuel pump, spark plugs, and starting carburetor solenoid.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate indicates a date of manufacture of May 12, 1954, and lists the original colors along with the engine, body, and gearbox numbers.
