This 1957 Jaguar XK140 MC roadster was refurbished in the late 1990s, at which time it was repainted red over tan leather. The car is powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is equipped with a removable tan soft top, side curtains, 16″ wire wheels, Lucas fog lights, wood interior trim, and adjustable seats. This XK140 was acquired by the current owner in 2025 and is now offered in Indiana on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, the owner’s manual, refurbishment records, a tonneau cover, factory jack, a shop manual and a clean Ohio title.
Finished from the factory in Pastel Blue, the car was repainted red during the refurbishment in the late 1990s and features a removable tan soft top, removable side curtains, a split windshield, Lucas fog lights, bright trim, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers.
The 16″ wire wheels are secured with two-eared knockoffs and mounted with Dunlop tires measuring 8.00R16. A spare is stored under the trunk floor, and braking is handled by red-finished drums at each corner. The brakes and suspension were overhauled during the refurbishment.
The adjustable seats are trimmed in tan leather, and interior appointments include a cabin heater, a defroster, and door storage pockets.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that was overhauled during the refurbishment, consisting of a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and an ammeter alongside gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.4-liter inline-six featured dual SU carburetors from the factory for a rating of 220 horsepower and was rebuilt in the late 1990s. A stainless-steel exhaust was installed at that time and the radiator, generator, and heater core were replaced.
Cylinder head stamping G9733-8S and corresponding number is stamped on the engine block and chassis plate as well as listed on the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, which was rebuilt in the late 1990s. The clutch was also replaced at that time.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate lists the factory colors and serial numbers along with a build date of December 11, 1956.
