VIN: 8000018
ENG: G2608-8

47 YEAR OWNERSHIP
This OTS is the 18th built from a total of only 73 in right hand drive with a manufacture date of 23 February 1955 and dispatched on 9 March 1955 by Henlys, London to Moores of Brighton, England. The accompanying Heritage Trust Certificate confirms these details. It is believed to have first been registered in Victoria, with the plate HDB 945 in June 1960. The Jag was subsequently purchased in 1979 by its most recent owner and has worn the plates XK 145 since 1982. This XK140 was restored over 40 years ago and still presents very well, in largely original specification, maintaining its factory Mediterranean Blue colour with sparkling brightwork sitting on 16" steel wheels with hub caps shod with Michelin classic tyres from 2023. The cockpit interior conveys that classic 1950’s period elegance with the seats, door trims and carpets in Black, while the instrument panel proudly displays the classic Black faced 4" Smiths speedometer and tachometer as well as the other gauges and switches. The Black roof and tonnueu cover is quality Mercedes cloth and also included is a second waterproof tonneau. The mechanicals are largely standard aside from larger 2" SU Carburettors, twin 2" stainless steel exhaust pipes and the 4-speed gearbox is equipped with Overdrive allowing for easier touring. Accompanying the old Cat are the factory full tool kit and jack, Jaguar Service manual, Owners hand book in mint condition, Parts catalogue and history file. Priced without Reg, Talk to us about Reg, Club or Other Plate Options. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS ENGINE: INLINE 6 CYLINDER OF 3441cc FUEL SYSTEM: TWIN 2" H8 SU CARBURETTORS TRANSMISSION: 4 SPEED MANUAL with OVERDRIVE SUSPENSION: INDEPENDENT FRONT; LIVE REAR AXLE BRAKES: DRUMS FRONT & REAR WHEELS: 16" FACTORY STEEL with HUBCAPS
