This car belonged for many years to a good friend of mine who is an XK aficionado. I remember taking him to somewhere in Croydon to pick it up in late 1973 after he had bought it.
During the time that he had it, he steadily improved it without actually restoring it and, to the best of my knowledge (and I signed the valuations), it was always in excellent running order.
If possible, I will change the colour to Cotswold Blue with blue, neither my favourite colour nor my friend's but, for originality, he left it that way.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
