Car to be at Coy's auction 1/10
    www.coys.co.uk/auctions/lot.php

    Auction description:
    1956 XK140 Roadster M.C
    Lot 322
    Registration Number:
EU Taxes paid Chassis Number: S812305

S812305 was discovered in a barn in the USA and has recently been shipped back to the UK by its current owner. Complete with original dashboard, C-Type head and block, close ratio gearbox with overdrive and wire wheels, this XK140 is a car that rarely appears on the open market. The XK140 M.C. cars are an extremely rare breed. The ‘M‘ represented ‘Modified‘ while the ‘C‘ was for the C-Type racing head. The very sporty XK-140MC produced 210 and could race from zero-to-sixty in less than 8.5 seconds and on to a top speed of over 120 mph.

This matching numbers Jaguar was originally painted cream with black piped white trim and is very complete, making a full restoration a relatively simple process. Without question, one of the most interesting barn finds we have seen.

    Estimate: £15000 - £20000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
