This 1953 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe is the 2,021 of 2,678 models produced between 1951 and 1954, and as a Special Equipment example it left the factory with several trim and performance upgrades. The seller purchased the car in 1969 from the second owner and has added just 7k miles over the past 49 years. A repaint in light blue metallic was commissioned in 1971, along with a reupholstering of the interior and adding a custom dash. Power is supplied by a 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six mated to 4-speed manual gearbox. This XK120 is now being offered with a factory service manual, the original tool kit, and a clear California title in the seller's name.

When the seller acquired the car in 1969, the left front fender was damaged. It was professionally repaired, and the exterior refinished in a non-original light blue metallic. Noted cosmetic flaws include some chips around the edge of the hood and a minor door ding.

The car wears California blue plates along with whitewall tires on its wire wheels. A knock-off hammer is included as shown in the photo gallery below.

The original burled walnut dash and door caps were replaced with custom teak pieces following the 1970s repaint, at which point the interior was also reupholstered. 46k miles are shown on the odometer.

As a Special Equipment model, the 3.4-liter inline-six comes equipped with high-lift camshafts and a lightened flywheel. The engine and 4-speed gearbox are said to remain original to the car. Chipped porcelain is evident on the headers and an aftermarket exhaust system comes fitted. Note the factory grease gun on the inner fender well.

The chassis plate denotes this car as an SE example.

The original fuel tank was replaced around 10 years ago.

A matching spare, factory tool kit, jack, and lead hammer reside the trunk.
