As the current co-owner (along with my dad) thought I would give you some info. The car has undergone a full mechanical (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, etc) and electrical restoration. This made the car safe to drive. Only upgrades not to original factory specs is the coolant overflow tank (do not like to ad spilled anti-freeze to the environment) and seat belts. We decided to keep as much of the interior and exterior as original as possible because a car is only original once. The car was damaged in an accident involving my uncle and a drunk driver in 1957 or 58. The only work that will be done to the body will be to stabilize the rust and halt any further deterioration. Most of the rust in only surface as it has been kept out of the weather most of its life. The car has been in my family since 1955, purchased by my uncle from the original owner.

My 1953 XK120 DHC was built the same day, April 30th, 1953. It also was shipped to Charles Hornburg Dist. in Los Angeles, the first owner from Omaha Nebraska - and ended up here in Maine! Good luck with your XK120, I'm enjoying mine, although it has to be put away for the winter. Corey
