Car now offered at:

www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/jaguar/xk-120/2412643.html

Description:

Location: Collinsville, Connecticut, 06019

VIN #: 679171

Transmission: Manual

Condition: Project

Exterior: Primer Grey

Interior: N/A

This early XK 120 has been safely hidden indoors for over 30 years. Restoration was started, with much of the heavy lifting completed by its third and current owner. The frame was sand blasted and painted, while a handmade sway bar was made with all new bushings. All new brake cylinders were purchased, as well a new gas tank which has been sealed. The car still retains its original motor, gearbox and ENV rear end. An extra motor with XK cams is also included the sale.

This XK was originally done in the distinctive color combination of twilight blue over blue interior (the original twilight blue can still be seen in the air box). This car is accompanied by its Heritage Certificate, and was built on November 5th, 1951 before arriving in NY.

Parts are in boxes as shown, neatly packed. The hubcaps, rear window trim, as well as the handles for the dash and ash tray have been re-chromed. The original parking lights are included, new headlight bezels (and originals), two radiators, bumper irons, and extra set of steel wheels are included.

This is an early XK120 FHC with tremendous potential!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
