Car to be at auction 4/11
    www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

    Auction description:
    Lot 248 - 1953 Jaguar XK120 Drophead Coupe
    Estimate: €75,000 - €90,000
    Registration Number: EU Registered
    Chassis Number: 677415

The example on offer today was produced on the 12th June 1953, and delivered to a Mr John Yates of Kansas City, Missouri. A Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate which comes with the car confirms that it was supplied new through Hornburgs of Los Angeles.

Imported into Holland in 1997, this car has recently undergone an extensive restoration and is described as now being in near concours condition. The body has been completely repainted in silver, the interior re-trimmed in chocolate leather, and a new mohair soft top hood has been fitted.

This is a wonderful car, and in our opinion one of the best XK120s we have seen.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
