Well spotted Urs. You are partially right. The Body number is a Fixed Head number and the pic is a FHC so where does that leave us ??

Privately offered is a 1953 Jaguar XK 120 Fixed Head Coupe. This car was originally restored approximately 18 years ago with various restorations done until August 2009 when it received a major tuneup along with other various items that have been replaced, hoses, electrical upgrades, new motor for wipers etc. totaling approximately $7,000. The car was appraised and valued at $45,000 in 2000 by Classic Car Connection and previously in 1988 by Anthony Almond when it was near completion. Previously re-bodied with a Fixed head coupe # J2649. Chassis 677036, Engine W7728-8, Gearbox JL16259. Appraiser's described the vehicles condition as: Very good body and paint, very good mechanical, very good uph, exceptional condition. The car sports leather seats and inside door panels. The chrome windshield frame is in excellent condition and will be included with the car as it is not attached. Various other parts, owner's manuals are included. Paint is in very good condition with only a few flaws i.e. a small bubble, and small chip were small turn signal light came off. Leather seats are in very good condition as the car was garaged and only run to keep it in good condition. Dash is made from imported walnut, gauges are in good working condition as are the lights, turn signals etc. This car was re-built from the ground up, has a powerful engine, perfect for someone who actually enjoys driving it on the road, it is not a trailer-queen vehicle.
