Car to be at auction 5/12
www.barons-auctions.com/details.php

Auction description:
Manufacturer Jaguar Cars
Model XK120 Roadster (OTS) LHD
First Registered 1954
Registration No WSU 594
Engine No tba
Chassis No 675563
MOT April 2013
Colour Old English White
The XK offered here is a 1954 120 Roadster or Open Two Seater as they were known in America. The car was originally despatched on the 18th May 1954 to American Jaguar Dealer Hornburg of Santa Monica. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate shows that the car remains in the original livery with the same red leather and tan hood.

In 1991 the car was repatriated to the UK where it was the subject of a comprehensive refurbishment and mechanical rebuild. The car has remained with the same owner since being UK registered in May 1991 and has been used sparingly both here and at the vendors home in France. Offered complete with every MoT back to 1991 and various bills from Guy Broad and others, which amount to over £20,000, the car remains in excellent condition and drives exceptionally well.

This beautifully presented XK120 can be seen on our Stand at The Sandown Park - British Celebration race meeting (27th and 28th April) and on our stand at the Beaulieu Spring Autojumble (19th and 20th May).

Guide Price: £45000 to £55000

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
