This particular car also participated in several local parades, in Ramsey NJ, the last of which was our Bicentennial.
Due to the limited nature of use, his car has only 2,601 original miles. It has been off the road and garaged since 1976.
In 1985, he took the car to be restored from the ground up. Work was progressing, parts were purchased, engine and body work, etc. During this attempted restoration, the car went missing for a while. The picture above shows the car just before restoration began. The photos below are post-restoration attempt.
He was never able to complete the restoration of his treasured car. I believe it was partly due to fear of losing it again to theft.
My father left this wonderful car to my brother & I and we would desperately like to finance the completion of the restoration of our family heirloom.
We have a lot of the parts, including new upolstry, chrome, etc., necessary to complete the restoration.
Please help us fulfill our Dad's dream and turn it into his legacy!
If we cannot raise the money to fix it we'll have to sell. ...

I have additional information on the history of this car. The first, original owner, was Joseph Casser of Casser Tours in NJ. He unfortunately recently passed away in Jan 2017. My grandfather, a master mechanic, worked for Joe Casser. In 1967, when Joe indicated the car was for sale, my father purchased the car. My grandfather was the only mechanic that ever worked on this car. VERY low miles on original engine. The attempted restoration in 1984/1985 was cosmetic only. We have almost every part needed to complete the cosmetic restoration.

We've determined that it's a numbers matching car - (note* we have not yet been able to put it on a lift
to get the engine block number - underneath the carbs. Though there is no reason to think otherwise, the engine number has not been confirmed.

This 52 Jaguar XK120 OTS (Built in August / September of 1951) was left to me by my father over a year and a half ago after he passed away. It was purchased by him in 1967 from the original owner Joe Casser of Casser Tours in N.J. (who has since passed away in January 2017) My Grandfather (on my Mothers side) worked as a mechanic for Joe and was the only mechanic to work on the car during the time that Joe owned it. When he was ready to sell it, my grandfather told my Dad about it...and the rest is history.
The car was in climate controlled storage for 40 years.

It was my fathers dream to restore this car over the course of his life. Both him and my mother were part of a car club in the New Jersey area in the 60's and early 70's called Scuderia-X. Before it was garaged in the '76 he put around 900 miles on it from what we've been told.. A bit of track and A few parades here and there and then it was parked. Life got in the way.

He tried at some point in the 80's with a local body / paint guy in the New Jersey area to get the ball rolling on the restoration. and after some time, the car disappeared! When it was recovered some time later, he felt that he couldn't trust anyone with his "baby". After which, it sat in storage from 1976 in his climate controlled garage till now.

I would like to find this "increasingly rare" vintage classic a new home with someone who shares the passion my father had with this car in his younger days. I've spoken to several XK enthusiasts over the last few weeks and learned much about the history (as well as track history) and desirability of this sought after vintage Jaguar. I've done some extensive research on it's value. Most buyers / offers I've fielded, are more interested in how much they can turn a profit for it once restored. I am well aware of the amount of work required to bring this beauty back to life and I'm looking for an enthusiast who wants to restore this Jag to it's former glory. It's a shame to see this car sit when I know there's someone out there who will appreciate it as much as my father did.

There are boxes of parts and pieces that I have no idea what they are. But I will give you everything that I have, and my sister and I will tell you all that we know.
The car has moved from its New Jersey storage to Upstate N.Y.
