Appropriately, the car was reported seen by John Elmgreen at JD Classics in the November 2012 edition of The XK Gazette.

I saw this car a the JD open day a couple of weeks ago a fanstatic turn out of people probably most of essex and a couple of adjoining counties to JD's wonderful facilities and their amazing collection of cars and workshop facilities.
I did just manage to get some underbonnet shots of this car. I should have spent a lot longer looking at this car.

Car now offered at:
www.oldracingcar.co.uk/products/1950-xk120-alloy-roadster-lhd
Sellers description:
Originally supplied by Jaguar Cars on March 2nd 1950 this original aluminium bodied XK120 roadster was built to left hand drive specification and finished in silver coachwork with red interior.
The subject of a truly superb restoration completed over a four year period between 2006-2010 by a leading Jaguar specialist in New Zealand, the history file comes with a photographic record showing 'before' and 'after', and detailing the extensive body-off concours level restoration. Currently fitted with bucket seats, the car retains its original seats, with both sets re-upholsted to the highest standard.
A matching numbers example, UK registered and exceptionally well sorted and in superb condition, this exquisite XK120 Alloy roadster is arguably the finest example available today.

Hmm. Rear view mirror should be shorter.
