My father and I purchased 660018 in the early 1980's as a restoration project. Initially we didn't realise what a unique and special car it was, being one of the very first hand built aluminium bodies cars. It was the 18th RHD example to leave the factory in December 1949 and sold new in Adelaide in early 1950. We fully restored the car to a very high standard regularly winning the local concourse and winning a 3rd in the 1996 National Jaguar Concourse. We sold the car to a collector from the UK. I believe the car is still in the UK. I have many photos of the car before, during and after the restoration is anyone is interested.

This car is mentioned in Practical Classics magazine Nov. 1980 in a letter from the then owner Michael Robinson of Sydney Australia. He purchased it in a very dilapidated condition from a farm where it had been left in a paddock for seven years. He was seeking advice to restore the car. There is a photo of the car as found.
It would appear that he then sold it on soon after to Mr Clement (see above).
Mr Robinson said he also owned the following 667912, S830141, and 660560.
I would be interested in seeing photos of the car when owned by Mr Clement.
