My father and I purchased 660018 in the early 1980's as a restoration project. Initially we didn't realise what a unique and special car it was, being one of the very first hand built aluminium bodies cars. It was the 18th RHD example to leave the factory in December 1949 and sold new in Adelaide in early 1950. We fully restored the car to a very high standard regularly winning the local concourse and winning a 3rd in the 1996 National Jaguar Concourse. We sold the car to a collector from the UK. I believe the car is still in the UK. I have many photos of the car before, during and after the restoration is anyone is interested.

This car is mentioned in Practical Classics magazine Nov. 1980 in a letter from the then owner Michael Robinson of Sydney Australia. He purchased it in a very dilapidated condition from a farm where it had been left in a paddock for seven years. He was seeking advice to restore the car. There is a photo of the car as found.
It would appear that he then sold it on soon after to Mr Clement (see above).
Mr Robinson said he also owned the following 667912, S830141, and 660560.
I would be interested in seeing photos of the car when owned by Mr Clement.

This specific open two-seater example is an ORIGINAL Right Hand Drive version and by far the most desirable version for a Jaguar connoisseur.

The Jaguar left the factory on 11th November, 1949 and was despatched by Dominion Motors, Adelaide, Australia. Heritage Certificate certainly present!

This Jaguar is painted in an indescribable, very attractive cream colour exterior with a very beautiful complementing biscuit and red leather interior and a beige soft-top in great condition. Very stylish and tasteful! It has a deep shining paint in excellent condition, almost no marks or any signs of usage, beautiful chrome throughout. Windows and glasses also in beautiful condition. Interior car of the car, leather on the seats all in excellent quality. The colour combinations is so very much appealing, a car to fall in love with!

A car in full function order and in excellent condition all through.

Car has been restored through marque specialist CMC Classic Motor Cars with all invoices present.

This wonderful example here is well documented with ownership known and beautifully restored in her original specifications. Rare in her low numbers and a highly desirable model which guarantees reliability and much driving pleasure. A beauty throughout!

An ideal car for touring around, travelling on holidays and to join classic car tours with.

The car is registered in Germany on German number plates and is part of an amazing, great classic car collection.
