The Jaguar presented here is a matching numbers 3.4 liter XK 150S from the first year of production, accurately restored to factory delivered paint and trim configurations. A leading Jaguar restoration expert, long time JCNA judge and a frequent resource for the JCNA archives, performed the complete ground-up restoration. All the mechanicals were inspected and repaired as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to the complete drivetrain, the entire suspension system, the brake system, the electrical systems, the cooling system and the steering assembly.

Cosmetically the car was stripped to bare metal, body repairs were made in steel, and the Imperial maroon paint was expertly applied. All the brightwork was re-plated and it complements the correctly reupholstered black interior and matching top nicely. The Jaguar was fitted with five new Dayton wire wheels and the correct Dunlop tires. The XK is complete with the original Jaguar dossier with all the commensurate 1961 documentation including the original operating, maintenance and service handbook as well as the complete and correct complement of tools including the jack. The entire restoration took over two years and was completed in the summer of 2001.

Fresh from the restoration, the XK 150S received a 99.94 at a JCNA sanctioned concours in the championship class. Today it has been driven a total 2,900 miles since the restoration, all mechanical systems still function flawlessly and in preparation for the auction the car was sent to Predator Racing to be cosmetically refreshed. With limited numbers of XK 150S Jaguar roadsters built, this automobile offers Jaguar enthusiasts a special opportunity to acquire a stunning example of one of the rarest and most desirable models produced in the original XK series. There are very few examples that could possibly compare with this fully and correctly restored XK and we encourage close examination accordingly.
