Car to be at auction 6/13
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php
Auction description:
Lot 158 - 1960 Jaguar XK150S Fixedhead Coupe
Estimate: £50,000 - £60,000
Registration Number: 8835 PX
Chassis Number: T825224DN
The car offered for sale is an example of the desirable S-type version which, with the help of a modified cylinder head and triple 2-inch SU carburettors, produces 250bhp against the standard model's 190bhp.
Manufactured in 1960 this stunning original 'S' is finished is resplendent in the beautiful colour combination of Navy with a contrasting light grey interior.
Purchased by the current owner some 23 years ago and with only 2 previous owners, this 65,000 mile example has been garaged and carefully maintained throughout and is described as being in excellent, yet un-restored condition.
With a V5 document and MoT certificate valid until May 2014 and a recent service undertaken, this represents a highly original example of this rare S-spec Jaguar.
The classic Jaguar XK series is quite rightly regarded as one of the most rewarding and characterful classics to own, and the 150S, perhaps the most civilized and rewarding model for both driver and passenger alike.
