This car is now back in UK and undergoing full restoration.

It used to belong to Alan John Randall, the Spice Cars founder who also tried to put together a team of XJ-R 14's and 17's for Le Mans after Jaguar pulled out the factory entry.

If anyone knows more of this cars history, or anything of Alan Randall, I would love to hear. Jon Nunns. Feb.2021

Correction to the above. I should have said Alan Randall was commentator (not founder) with Spice Cars circa 1991. He later bought the Brabham F1 team from the liquidator but the team never raced again. Jon Nunns

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
