Sellers description:
1959 JAGUAR XK 150 DHC, 29K ORIG MILES IN SAME FAMILY FOR 41YEARS!
This is truly an amazing car! It has been owned by the same family for 41 years and has an authentic 29,459 original miles! It has the ORIGINAL TOP and the ORIGINAL DUNLOP ROADSPEED TIRES! The car runs and drives well and has just had a new brake master cylinder installed. The XK 150 has 4 wheel disc brakes all around like an xke. The car has the factory cover for the top when it is down. It has the original jack. I have a Jaguar Heritage certificate showing the original colors to be old english white with a red interior and black top and all numbers matching. The paint now is old but presentable. The interior is all original. The chrome is above average and the bumper over riders are amazingly dent free. The car is 98% rust free with only very minor rust at the bottom in front of the rear tires and the thin sheet metal that the batteries sit on. Other than that, the car is incredibly solid with a very solid under carriage. The car has not been in any accidents ever. The car has an intermediate speed hold toggle switch to the left of the steering wheel. This allows you to keep the car in a lower gear until you are ready to shift and then flip the toggle switch to change gears. So you can change gears without a clutch and avoid clutch leg. Also, your significant other who may not be able to drive with a clutch, can now comfortable drive the car as well. It is a pleasure to drive in traffic without having to bother with a clutch. This is truly a remarkable car with only 29k original miles!

Sellers description:
1958 Jaguar XK150 3.4 DHC
This beautiful automatic Jaguar XK150 3.4 DHC has arrived with us in excellent order having being subject of a major programme of work in 2013. UWK 398 is a genuine matching numbers car, still retaining the 3.4 litre engine it left the factory with. The Jaguar left the factory in Cream with Red upholstery and was one of just 595 LHD DHC automatic examples ever supplied. UWK 398 was supplied new by Jaguar Cars New York and first registered to D B Ortman. The Jaguar spent 41 years with the same family in the U.S before being sold to the UK with a guarantee from the dealership that the car had only covered a genuine 29000 miles. This XK150 now has a recorded mileage of just 31,500 having had substantial programme of restoration work and some use in the UK since. The car is finished in Cream/Old English White with Red upholstery as it left the factory and presents beautifully with chrome wire wheels and Black mohair hood.
In 2013 a Bristol based restoration Company stripped this car to bare metal, carried out any new metal work required and completely re-painted the car in Old English White. The interior was sympathetically restored with original door cards being rebuilt using aged, factory fitted covers, new kick panels and furflexes have had to be made and the original almost sixty year old leather seats are still in the car. A brand new hood and lining was trimmed and fitted and a new boot mat supplied. A new spare wheel board was made up and a set of stainless steel wire wheels were supplied with brand new Blockley radial tyres. The original wheels and tyres have been left with the car, the original Dunlop Roadspeed tyres giving the car further provenance. Front and rear bumpers and over-riders were re-chromed finishing off the exterior beautifully.
A major programme of mechanical work was also carried out and this included removing and stripping the gearbox and re-conditioning the torque converter. The steering was professionally converted to RHD and the cylinder head was uprated to 'Big Valve' head with new valves and seats to unleaded specification. The block was cleaned out and core plugs were replaced, the carburettors were upgraded to HD8 2" and new timing chain, tensioner and guides were fitted. The thermostat and housing, fan belt, plugs, distributor cap and HT leads were replaced, the radiator re-conditioned and a Kenlowe fan fitted. The braking system was treated to all new brake hoses, servo, Zeus brakes front and rear, new master cylinder and new discs and pads all round. The rear axle oil was replaced, rear shock absorbers replaced and all new front suspension bushes, ball joints and bearings fitted. A new stainless steel exhaust system with six branch manifold was fitted, new Xenon headlights fitted and all the loom and electrics checked through. An upgraded heater was also supplied, as well as a new electronic fuel pump and sender unit. After some time off the road, the fuel tank was also flushed, cleaned and sealed and various rubbers replaced.
As expected with such a comprehensive mechanical overhaul and restoraton, the XK150 is truly outstanding to drive. The automatic gearbox is so smooth, it really is impressive and far more advanced than one would expect for 1958. The engine is tremendous with wonderful power, performance and acceleration. The car sounds truly outstanding and feels tight, precise, accurate and is a delight to drive. UWK 398 has so much to offer with a top class bodyshell, stunning underside, such strong mechanical condition having had a very expensive programme of work and of course, the trim, with a nice mix of new and original that reminds us the car is 58 years old. The boot area is exceptionally clean, the engine bay presents beautifully and the car has a true, impressive feel and presence.
