Sellers description:
1958 Jaguar XK150 Drop Head Coupe
This outstanding motor car is finished in Carmen Red, trimmed in Biscuit Connolly Leather, Wilton Wool Carpet and Tan Sunfast Top. The documented frame off every nut and bolt rotisserie restoration included every component of the car.
A proven show winner, over 15 1st. Place awards, Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) Regional 1st, and numerous others including several Best of Show and Most Desirable. However, this is not just a another pretty car, every component on the car has been rally tested for reliability with never a failure. On one Rally we traveled 8 days covering over1600 miles throughout Utah and Arizona, through winding moutains and across the plains and at times with speeds exceeding 100mph.
Built 15 May 1958, this XK is consider an early car, one of only 400 built with the very rare center aluminum dash instrument fascia, you will likely never see another offered for sale. Unlike all of the XK’s predecessors, the XK150 was the first to have 4 wheel disk brakes as standard equipment.
This special equipment motorcar is powered by its original number matching engine, in-line 3.5 ltr. 6 cylinder, now producing in excess of 250hp., a 4 speed manual transmission with electric overdrive and is capable of speed in excess of 140 mph. At interstate cruising speed (approx. 80 mph) achieves nearly 20 mile to the gallon.
