This 1957 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupe was reportedly purchased out of Italy in the mid-1990s by a US armed forces serviceman and then refurbished while they were stationed in Japan in the early and mid-2000s. It was eventually brought to Oregon and inherited by the serviceman’s daughter. The car is finished in British Racing Green over tan leather and powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a black soft top, 16″ knock-off wire wheels, disc brakes, a Leaper hood ornament, and adjustable seats. This XK150 now offered on dealer consignment with service records and a clean Oregon title listing it as a 1958 model.
The car is finished in British Racing Green and its black soft top was installed in 2023. However, the top trim still needs to be installed.
The 16″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Excelsior radial tires and braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The selling dealer notes that the brakes and suspension were overhauled between 1998 and 2000.
The adjustable seats are trimmed in Tan leather and are complemented by a leather-wrapped dashboard. Interior appointments include a cabin heater, a defroster, wind-up side windows, door storage pockets, and a folding rear bulkhead.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock as well as a 140-mph speedometer and an ammeter alongside gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer angle drive was replaced in 2023. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3,442cc inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 210 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque. Service in 2023 included replacing the water pump and installing an alloy radiator.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and an overdrive unit. The clutch slave cylinder was replaced in 2022. Service in 2023 included removing and resurfacing the flywheel and replacing the clutch assembly.
