1960 Jaguar XK 150 FHC. Drive or Show Anywhere, serviced and ready to go. Factory ‘SE’ option with the 3.8 liter engine instead of the base 3.4. Engine matches with chassis and body. Most of the restoration completed on a clean bodied car a few years ago by previous owner and reputable local British car shop, the rest finished up by myself, a long time British car guy. No rust or collision problems. No paint issues, not all patched up with bondo, solid - all metal, all brightwork is excellent. Engine and transmission were also redone by reputable local British car restoration shop. Interior is excellent. All gauges and lights work. Underside is clean, frame and suspension chassis black and sheet metal body color the way it should be. Runs and drives fantastic. Some docs, books, manuals go with the car. Factory equipped with the now desirable automatic transmission, ideal for older drivers, modern roads and traffic, and also for younger drivers who cannot drive a stick. Overdrive. Just my opinion, this automatic shifts and drives better than some manual transmission cars of the same era, especially in a car like this. Do not let its stately looks fool you, this is a Jag. It will run all day with modern traffic and gather a lot of thumbs up.
With the 3.8, think of it as an XKE powertrain in the classier and roomier XK body. Driven on local tours, trips, and to local shows with no issues. Only deviations from original are a new starter, electronic ignition (hidden Pertronix under distributor cap), and solid state fuel pump. Negative ground. Original parts were kept if one wanted to rebuild them and put back on. Only selling because I have enjoyed it for a few years and it is time for something different.
No smoke, starts on first crank. Very nice and clean, show ready, driveable example of a classic Jag.
Price: $97,495 Negotiable

Engine number should read as 1046-9 not 1045-9 as shown on cylinder head stamping.

This 1960 XK150 SE 3.8 is a fixed-head coupe that was refinished in white over red leather as part of a refurbishment completed prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2018. Manufactured in September 1959, the car is powered by a 3.8-liter DOHC inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and an electronically activated overdrive unit. The electrical system has been converted to negative earth, and additional equipment includes a Pertronix electronic ignition conversion, a solid-state fuel pump, and Lucas driving lamps. Service completed in preparation for the sale is said to have included an oil change, coolant flush, transmission fluid change, and differential oil change in addition to carburetor balance tuning and replacement of the brake master cylinder, pads, and calipers. This XK150 is offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, a tool kit, and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
Originally black, the body was refinished in white under previous ownership. Equipment includes chrome bumpers with overriders, Lucas driving lamps, fender-mounted mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets.
Chrome 16″ knock-off wire wheels are fitted with Blockley radial tires measuring 185-16″ at all four corners. The car is equipped with a four-wheel disc brake system, and the brake master cylinder, pads, and calipers were replaced approximately one year ago according to the seller.
The interior features seating upholstered in red leather with a matching dashboard, carpeting, and door panels. Features include lap belts for the front occupants, a dash-mounted shifter, and pop-out rear quarter windows.
The black four-spoke steering wheel fronts centrally mounted Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer displays 3,600 miles, approximately 300 of which have been added by the seller. The seller states that the odometer was replaced, and total mileage is unknown.
The 3.8-liter DOHC inline-six was rated at 220 horsepower when new and features dual SU carburetors. An oil change and coolant flush were performed in addition to a carburetor balance check and tune in preparation for the sale. Modifications include a Pertronix electronic ignition system, a solid-state fuel pump, and a negative earth conversion. The seller notes that the “Otter” switch for the choke mechanism was replaced within the last year.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission that was reportedly sourced from a late-50’s Jaguar sedan. An electronically activated overdrive unit is fitted, and the seller states that service in 2021 included a transmission fluid change and a differential oil change.
The Heritage Trust Certificate lists factory colors, equipment, and serial numbers, as well as the dates of manufacture and dispatch.
