This lovely old trout now keeps company with a dozen or so other shabby XKs in our barn in Burgundy. Interestingly, it was in fact the 1958 Los Angeles motor show car and bought off the stand by Edith Freeman, a Hollywood beauty. It was originally black with special show trim from the factory in white hide with black piping. Very Hollywood! She is now ambulatory again and rather elegant inside thanks largely to Mick and Chris Turkey. She is automatic of course but before you dismiss such a device, I would remind you that Stirling Moss had a similar car and was said to prefer it on the road. So who do you think you are?

Good to hear its being cared for! And if its good enough for Sir Stirling its good enough for anybody.

This was one of the 1958 LA Motor Show cars; four were Black with White trim and Black piping (S835769BW, S835770BW, S835773BW, S835779BW).
The photos above appear to be Stoltz cars, just a guess.
