The matching number motor and Concours-ready Jaguar has been outfitted with a 5-Speed Cosworth Transmission. Well documented from 1966 on, this car was maintained regularly and more recenlty had all new front suspension bushings replaced, carburetor refurbished, seats re-padded, new choke, new battery and an aluminum gas tank installed. The chrome wire wheels, 4 wheel disc brakes and newer tires add something extra to this show-stopper. The XK 150 has a larger cockpit than previous 120 & 140 models with leg room for people larger than 6 feet. The cooling systems were much improved along with the stopping power of 4 wheel disc brakes, a first in the automotive production car industry. This car is easily capable of comfortable sustained highway drives at 80 milles per hour or just vigorous jaunts on wooded back roads.

    Price: $69,995 negotiable

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
