Sellers description:
We are pleased to offer you this 1958 Jaguar XK 150 "Vicarage" Special. A truly stunning and quite rare vehicle. This is a conversion build using a Jaguar XK 150 FHC as basis, maintaining, amongst others, the correct unaltered chassis, engine, overdrive transmission, suspension, Jaguar Mk 2 3.8 and Sperr. rear axle. The aluminum bodywork has been completely handcrafted resulting in beautiful styling reminiscent of the Mercedes Benz W 125 combined with British flair. The eye for detail marries an elegant, yet muscular body shape in equal measures. Mechanically very soundly revised with some special modifications. It has the sought after triple carburetor, 3800 cc XK engine with the Straight Port cylinderhead. The cars more than 271 bhp is transferred to the road by means of its manual 4 gears with Overdrive. It has the suspension from the XK 150 with a modified independent front and rear adjustable brake system. Combine its relatively low weight of about 1000 kg with 271 bhp and you are in for some serious road fun! The car stands on 19-inch wire wheels and has fetching beige leather upholstery. The aluminum body is ready to be sprayed in any colour the new owner chooses, but to be honest we rather prefer the finish as it is. Of note is the fact that this 1958 car has Dutch registration plates and is therefore road-legal as well as being ideal for classic rallies, races and other show events.
