We purchased this XK150S for a client and we're detailing it to prepare it to be shown at various concour and JCNA events this season.
It still presents very nicely despite spending the last 4 years in storage

This 1959 Jaguar XK150 3.4L is a left-hand-drive, open two-seater that is said to have been refurbished during prior ownership and was acquired by the current owner in 2017. The car is finished in red over tan upholstery and is powered by a replacement 3.4-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a tan convertible soft top, chrome 16″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, triple SU carburetors, Lucas driving lights, and chrome bumpers with overriders. Service in 2022 included rebuilding the starter and refurbishing the flywheel. This XK150 is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with Rhode Island registration.
The car is said to have been previously finished in gray and was reportedly repainted Carmen Red in 2007. Exterior details include a tan convertible soft top, full-width chrome bumpers with overriders, Lucas driving lights, a Leaper hood ornament, a one-piece windshield, and dual exhaust outlets.
Chrome-finished 16″ wire wheels are secured via two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 6.00×16 Coker Classic tires that show date codes from 2016. A full-size spare tire and tools are stored under the trunk floor, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin features a split bench seat trimmed in tan upholstery with a color-coordinated dash pad, door panels, and carpets. Appointments includes wind-up side windows, lap belts, a locking glove compartment, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.
A black four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 32k miles, less than 1k of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The replacement 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six was installed during previous ownership and is equipped with a straight-port cylinder head and three SU carburetors. The oil was changed in 2021, and service in 2022 included rebuilding the starter and refurbishing the flywheel.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Additional images showing the condition of the underside are included in the gallery below.
A reproduction data plate is located in the engine bay and displays the chassis number as well as replacement engine and gearbox serial numbers.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate lists a build date of September 18, 1959, along with factory colors and identification numbers.
Manufacturer’s literature and service records are included in the sale.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.

1959 Jaguar XK150S was body-off restored under previous ownership including a replacement correct engine and shows as very freshly restored inside and out. We purchased the car a couple years ago and improved it with the acquisition and instillation of a Tremac 5-speed transmission. Turn key great driving car with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate.
