As confirmed by the "S" prefix to its S831054DN Chassis Number, this 1958 Jaguar XK150 is an original left-hand drive "Special Equipment" or "SE" model. According to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate that accompanies it, this XK150 was completed on July 23, 1958, and dispatched on September 4th for delivery to the USA and distribution via Jaguar Cars New York. The first recorded owner is one Mr. F.C. Hunt who was a resident of Palmyra in upstate New York.

Subsequent ownership is unknown until Stephen P. Schiffer, DDS, of Birmingham, Michigan acquired the XK150. During 1987, Jaguar enthusiast Kevin McCaffery of Grosse Ile, Michigan, purchased it in running condition from Dr. Schiffer. During Mr. McCaffery's tenure, the Jaguar received a long-term and complete "nut-and-bolt" restoration that was completed during 2007. Restoration highlights include bodywork performed by the experts at Reiter's Metalcraft in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, as well as final trimming, detailing, sorting, and tuning by the respected Jaguar marque experts at Muncie Imports and Classics of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

As offered, the Jaguar remains engaging throughout with its period correct Cornish Grey exterior finish remaining very nice with only a few very minor flaws noted, complemented by black leather upholstery. Weather gear includes a black convertible top, top boot, and tonneau cover. Retaining complete matching numbers and equipped with factory overdrive providing excellent highway performance, the XK150 has accumulated only an approximate 2,400 miles since restoration. It is further complete with the corresponding Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, tools, jack, and spare wheel and tire assembly.
