I have bought this car in July 1996 form its Swiss owner who had bought it just a few months before as a partial restoration project from an owner in Canada. The car was 90% dismantled. I had it restored at a specialist shop here in Switzerland to 100% original condition from the frame off, fully photo documented. In the process I exchanged the original gear box to a five-speed Getrag gearbox, re-drilled the cylinders and converted the engine to lead-free gasoline. The Interior is the original black. I am the fifth owner of this car and I have corresponded with all previous owners (except Mr. Perry Hall who had died in the 1960ies) who were all domiciled in Canada. I use the car quite regularly for oldtimer rallies and consider it to be in a 1 to 2 condition. Many more information available if desired.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
