This Jaguar XK 150 3.4 ltr. OTS (Open Two Seater), or also named Roadster, was delivered to the first owner by Jaguar Cars New York in May 1958. He owned the car for more than 30 years and it has been extensively restored in the period. In the early 90s the car was exported to England and was part of the extensive collection of the second owner. The third and Dutch owner bought the beautiful Roadster in 2005. This man is also a true fan of classic English cars and the XK was, together with for instance his Rolls Royce, regularly driven and of course neatly maintained. The history of the car is extensively documented, including valuation reports, invoices, the original maintenance and service book, Heritage Certificate, correspondence, etc. We can not speak of a so-called 'concoursauto' but of a very neatly maintained and real driver's car. In terms of technology, for example, the 3.4 liter engine has been completely overhauled. The invoice confirms that this was carried out extensively by a professional company. The carburetors have also been overhauled and the rubbers of the front suspension have been replaced. The disc brakes are equipped with brake calipers with 4 pistons. This, together with the already existing disc brakes front and rear, and assisted by a brake servo, makes a perfect braking system that slowed down the XK as if it is a modern car. The cooling system is also slightly modified by means of an electric cooling fan. The XK is provided with an SCM approved class 1 immobilizer The interior has also been replaced by the last owner, of course again in the original color red. A custom made tonneau cover was also ordered to be able to cover the interior well and quickly. The seams between the doors, bonnet, trunklid and wings are all perfectt. The paint is very nice and all the chrome parts to. In general, we can be very satisfied with the overall condition of this Roadster. The Roadster is for many the most beautiful XK 150, especially because of its beautiful sophisticated shape. The black paint of this XK brings a chic look but on the other hand because of the red wheels, also a sportive touch. The car brings a lot of driving pleasure and also the performance is more than you will need in the modern traffic. The car is perfect for a quiet drive in the country, but it is just as much fun travelling many miles per day on a highway. You will soon appreciate an XK for its versatility, quality and performance. Also for people who do not fit well in the XK 120 or 140 offers the 150 outcome because the interior is much spacier compared to its predecessors. Back in 1958 the XK 150 was already a real upper class sports car and even today this sophisticated Englishman still is.
