the first 3.4 litre "S" 3 Carburettor engine is V1001-9 fitted to S824021 built in August 1957 and noted in the factory records as the prototype 150 triple carburettor engine. which was fitted to Peter Whitheads "Tour de France" XK150 S824021 which ran in the 1957 tour de france
