This 1958 Jaguar XK150 roadster is said to have been previously kept in long-term storage and was acquired by the seller’s father in a partially disassembled state in April 2024. Subsequent work included rebuilding the 3.4-liter inline-six, reupholstering the interior, and replacing the black canvas soft top, 16″ knock-off wire wheels, clutch, shocks, and suspension bushings. The car was refinished in red under previous ownership. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, disc brakes, driving lights, and adjustable seats. This XK150 is now offered by the seller on behalf of their father with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, refurbishment photos, and a clean Kentucky title.
The car finished at the factory in Cotswold Blue and was refinished in red under previous ownership and features a replacement removable black canvas soft top, a one-piece windshield, driving lights, bright trim, and full-width chrome bumpers with overriders. The headlights were replaced under current ownership. There are scratches in the paint and rust is noted under one of the turn signal housings.
The 16″ replacement knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Dunlop Grandtrek tires measuring 215/70. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The brake calipers were rebuilt and the brake master cylinder, shocks, and suspension bushings were replaced. A leak emanating from the brake master cylinder union is noted.
The adjustable seats are trimmed in red leather and are complemented by a leather-wrapped dashboard. The seat covers, dash, dash pad, interior panels, carpeting, pedal pads, interior panels, and trunk panels were replaced under current ownership. Interior appointments include a cabin heater, a defroster, wind-up side windows, door storage pockets, and a folding rear bulkhead.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer as well as a 140-mph speedometer and an ammeter alongside gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 13k miles, approximately 15 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The clock is not hooked up and it is unknown if it is operational.
The 3,442cc inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 210 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque. Work is said to have included rebuilding the engine, carburetors, generator, starter, and voltage regulator as well as replacing the wiring harness, coolant hoses, and battery. An oil leak is noted and there is rust on the bottom of the battery box.
Engine block stamping V3591-8 matches that shown on the ID plate in the engine bay and the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. The seller states that the driveshaft U-joints, clutch disc, pressure plate, and throwout bearing were replaced and the flywheel was resurfaced. A stainless steel dual exhaust system is fitted.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists the factory colors and identification numbers, along with a completion date of April 28, 1958.
