For sale @ Classic Cars For Sale Co Uk
Description:
This LHD XK150 is offered for sale in excellent as restored condition and is presented in Black with Red Leather. This example, chassis number 830220, was supplied new on the 3rd of April 1958 to Jaguar Cars New York, twenty days later the car was sold to it's first owner. More recently the car has spent most of it's life in Europe and is now presented for sale for the first time in the U.K. Between October 1994 and October 1995 the car was subject to a total nut and bolt restoration by Dutch Jaguar specialists Noblehouse which is extensively documented in a photo album accompanied with the car. The odometer now stands at 3844 miles; the car has been subjected to a small service in our workshops to ensure that the car remains the best of conditions. This Jaguar represents the opportunity to own a LHD XK150 in a concours condition complete with Jaguar heritage Certificate, M.O.T and U.K registration.

This specific example with chassis number S830220 is a very impressive example. Restored some time ago and driven only 3.000 miles afterwards.
Newly, the Jaguar has been sold in the United States where it was delivered at the 23rd of April 1958.
After some years, the Jaguar came back to Europe and an extensively restoration has been carried out at one of the best restoration companies in the world called Noble House which is located in the Netherlands.
Their quality is amazing. Restoring a car at Noble house cost quite a lot of money, but the result is absolutely stunning.
Giving you an idea about the level of restoration of this company is quite simple. Aston Martin has set up a network of fourteen restoration companies which were selected to become Heritage specialists. In order of Aston Martin, these companies may restore Aston Martins.
As you can understand, the quality of these cars have to be better then just an ordinary restoration.
If we are able to buy cars which are restored by Noble House, we always try to do this because we have 1 guarantee and that's the quality.

With this specific Jaguar the quality is easy to recognize because of the paint.
If you lower your face to the level of the headlamps and look to the side of a car, you can see how straight a car is. Some colors always seems to be straight although they are not. A black colored car is almost the hardest car to get straight, but please come and look to the side of this specific car and you will understand why we always like to have cars which are restored by Noble House.

A file of the restoration of the body of this car is coming with the car.

A gentlemen from Holland has given the instruction for the restoration of this car. Afterwards it has been sold to a big Jaguar collector in Italy who had a very nice collection of Jaguar XK 150s.
We were able to buy a couple of his cars in the past because he switched over to Ferrari.
This is definitely the nicest example he owned.

The engine still caries its original numbers, on the underblock as well as the engine head.

So in short:
A black car is always very difficult to get straight. It is the most worse color to get nice on a car. Only if a restoration may cost a fortune, it is possible to get cars in this condition.

The car is a superb driving example. The brakes are excellent and this is also because the 150 was the first XK with four wheel disc brake system. The powerful engine with makes this car an excellent touring car for holidays but also a perfect example to use for rallies because of its quick acceleration as well as topspeed.

The color combination is extremely nice. If we drive around in this XK we get quite a lot of nice compliments because of the fantastic exterior color which suits the interior very well.

The Houtkamp Collection is centrally located near Amsterdam and only 10 minutes from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
