Car was at auction in '07

Auction description:
Lot 738: 1960 Jaguar XK150 3.4 litre Drophead Coupé
Collectors' Motor Cars, Cycles & Automobilia, Bonhams (30th April 2007)
This car was delivered new to Lady Geraldine Lister of Dursley, Gloucestershire, and is believed to have had just two owners prior to acquisition by the Yorkshire Car Collection. The car is liveried in Air Force Blue with silver painted wheels and retains its original black leather upholstery with blue carpets. Individual features include the overdrive specification, matching auxiliary driving lamps and a chrome luggage grid to the rear. The car is offered with a Swansea V5C registration document, a series of old MoT certificates, a recently issued MoT certificate, a driver’s manual and documentation confirming past ownership. This highly original car is tidily presented, although not to concours standards, and having seen only occasional use during its time in the collection will respond well we feel to gentle recommissioning and improvements.

You've listed this car as restored - but it's not. It is utterly original - unusually so. The auction catalogue makes this clear and any examination of the car will confirm this. The colour is Cotswold blue; the leather is drak blue, not black as Bonhams says, and the carpets are French blue.

It is the 12th car from the end of production but only six of them are known to still exist

Thank you Roger, for your comment and Peter Ingram for the helpful data. I'd be delighted to hear from anybody who knows ANYTHING about this car - however small or inconsequential and information might seem. It is now having some mechanical work done but I am keeping it as original as I can.

Sellers description:
Jaguar XK150 Drop Head Coupe
This orignal right hand drive drop head XK150 was delivered to Lord and Lady Lister on the 26th of September 1960.
Built to SE specification the car was used by the estate of the Lord and Lady for many years before passing into the Yorkshire Motor Museum where it was maintained and used before the present owner purchased the car from a Bonhams auction in several years ago utilising the services of Guy Broad who reported 9075AD as a remarkably original patinated yet well maintained car.
So the car is today. Bodily 9075AD is largely unrestored and whilst showing some wear and tear remains entirely useable and a really rare unrestored car. Mechanically the car has been extensively sorted by Guy Broad and bills supporting a complete and thorough mechanical rebuild sit in the file to the tune of £30+k
As such 9075AD drives perfectly and operates exactly as it should do. This makes the car a quite charming 'used' XK. The new owner may choose to paint the car. However, we have a view that this car looks great as is and with a minor amount of conservation work would give a new owner years and years of joy from what must be a very rare unrestored yet perfect driving XK150. A lovely, lovely car
