S825261 was bought new by a lady owner and changed hands with another four owners before spending thirty two years in storage. This Stunning XK150 Drop Head Coupe was bought by its current seven years ago and underwent a chassis and body restoration by renowned Jaguar specialists Leaping Cats Ltd. It was subsequently re-trimmed by Mike Turley and received an engine overhaul and has covered a mere 4,885 miles in five years.

Complete with stainless steel exhaust, new chassis bushes, Cooper Craft brake callipers, manual gearbox with Laycock overdrive, new hood frame, tool kit, V5 registration document and MoT until April 2011 it is described by the vendor as in very good condition.

Manufactured in 1960 the owner informs us the car was in the ownership of 3 owners from new until 1967 with the 4th owner having the car in his ownership up to 1977 upon which it was put into storage for 27 years until it was purchased for restoration in 2004.

Marque specialists Leaping Cats commenced the body and chassis restoration which included an engine overhaul with the cylinder head ported and gas flowed. An uprated oil pump, high torque starter motor, alternator, Borg and Beck clutch assembley as well as triple 2 inch SU carburettors providing that extra performance finishing off the engine. The interior was retrimmed which included two bucket seat backs which are supplied along with the original retrimmed items.

Since the completion of the restoration in 2007 only 4,885 miles had been completed when purchased by the current owner in 2010 and since his ownership only a further 300 miles have been added. Kept in a humidity controlled environment the vendor informs us the car is in excellent order throughout.

Finished in red with a black interior the car is accompanied with a large file containing the original handbook, V5, old MoT certificates and bills totalling over £50,000 for the exhaustive restoration as well as a full tool kit.
