This particular example from the Jaguar XK150 range is a fixed head coupe dating from 1958 which, as far as we can ascertain, still has its original registration number fitted.
It has the much preferred manual gearbox with overdrive which is a close ratio type and the 3800cc six cylinder engine. It comes with chrome wire wheels and in the history file there are some service records dating back to 1984.
Described as being in good condition throughout this particular example has had one lady owner for the last twelve years and is only reluctantly offered for sale today.

Car to be at auction 4/11

Auction description:
Lot 138 - 1958 Jaguar XK150 Fixedhead Coupe
Estimate: £27,000 - £30,000
Registration Number: ODR 695
Chassis Number: 824364

The XK150 on offer here today shows a mere 46,000 miles from new, which is believed to be correct. It has been subject to significant restoration by Fullbridge Restoration Company, which has been documented alongside considerable history from previous owner.
The car is fitted with the more powerful 3.8 litre engine, which has been rebuilt with fully-balanced pistons, and is mated to an overdrive gearbox.

Recent work includes attention to the disc brakes, re-bushed suspension to the front, the fitting of alloy fuel tanks, and also new rear axle hubs and rear wheels.

Described by its current owner as being, "Very powerful and a delight to drive", ODR 695 was last serviced in March 2011 and is offered with a current MoT, also UK V5 and older vehicle log book.
Finished in red with a beige leather interior, this is a superb opportunity to pick up a charming example of this classic Jaguar, which would make a fine addition to any enthusiast's collection.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
