Seller's description:

This stunning Jaguar XK 150 FHC has recently had an extensive restoration carried out and is now ready for its new custodian to enjoy.

The car was commissioned by a local gentleman and built to his requirements by Sport & Classic Ltd of Staffordshire but due to a change of circumstances is now reluctantly for sale.

The Jaguar is finished in stunning signal red paint work with contrasting cream leather and red piping seats finished off with deep red carpeting, walnut dash and a Motolita wood rimed four spoke steering wheel.

The XK benefits from a rebuilt 3. 4 ltr engine, upgraded with a 123 electronic ignition distributor and a modern solid state fuel pump for peace of mind reliability, driving through a brand new Tremac 5sp gearbox and rebuilt axle. The car sits on a set of wider stainless steel wire wheels with new radial tyres which are complimented with fully rebuilt suspension, the fitting of a power steering system and Coopercraft upgraded brakes,

The car has done zero miles since its completion and having been sympathetically upgraded and improved during its restoration is now well equipped to deal with modern traffic conditions whilst retaining the classic Jaguar XK presence. This car is a joy to drive and will attract many admiring looks wherever it goes.

Priced at much less than its restoration cost, this is a chance to take advantage of someone else paying for the cars refurbishment, so why not take a look and grab a bargain. The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
