This car is NOT original! Certainly not REMARKABLY original. It has been overhauled and had a body-off restauration in the eighties in the U.S. I did it with a friend, but he died in 1999.

My car a matching number car with a a Heritage Certificate , restored in the USA in 1990-1993 by Jaguar South in Taylors, South Carolina. Owner then: John M. Hosmer. I did an engine overhaul in the Netherlands in 2001 and the car is now in concours condition. I do also not understand the remarks about Afganistan and Kyrgyzstan. Does XK Date knows more about my car than I do? The photo in my file is not from my car, I have not delivered yet any photo's of my car! Bill Hodgeson, can you email me, you seems to know my car.

Bram, sorry about not seeing this comment earlier. These photos are not of S819035?

Roger, these photos are indeed of my car S819035 but a previous one was not and has been removed on my request. I have all the documentation of the restoration of my car by Jaguar South in 1990-1993.

Glad it worked out! Your car is lovely, I would be very proud if it were mine.

Lovely car. I would like to ask Bram a question about the seats in his car.

    Hi Bram,
A question about seats in your car. Can you please advise if the seat back frames are tubular rather than flat steel. I have 819040 built the same day as your car. All the books tell me that the tubular frames are XK150.
    Many thanks.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
