Current bid $10,300 reserve not met, 4 bids, 6 days left in auction. 84k miles.

    Sellers description:
This older ground up restoration has been owned, garaged kept in heated storage by the same owner for over 25 years and has covered very few miles since the work was initially done.

The interior and top was done by Smithtown Upholstery to the very highest standards and looks as new today. The wood is original, intact and undamaged, but would require refinishing to create the high gloss look. A full set of new wire wheels and tires were part of the restoration and remain indistinguishable from new. There is a like new top boot included as well as a set of manuals.

Mechanically, the engine and transmission are perfect with excellent oil pressure, solid synchos, and healthy power. The exhaust is stainless, the headers are porcelainized, and the chrome and stainless are excellent throughout.

The trunk and engine are detailed professionally and the car starts and drives on the first turn of the key every time.

This is an excellent example that would require nothing except a new owner to use as is, and could be returned to show condition with very little effort or expense.

The date quoted is far too late even for a first US registration. It was built
    1955 (September)

Huge appologies for a senior moment. This car was built in August 1956 and the title date is certainly correct. The above entry was a misread of the number

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
