www.cecil-cars.com/vente/jaguar-xk140-cab/
Sold new in the United States then imported to France at the start of 2000, this XK140 convertible was completely restored in our workshops between 2004 and 2006 for its last owner.
Bodywork:
It has excellent, very healthy bodywork and an impeccable chassis.
The door and hood adjustments are excellent, as is the underbody line.
Upholstery:
Its brown leather upholstery is still in excellent condition and always perfectly maintained since its restoration. The woodwork is superb.
The alpaca soft top and mohair headliner are still like new.
Engine :
Very sound mechanics, regularly overhauled, overhauled carburettors, overhauled radiator etc... It was equipped with a rare engine with Type C cylinder head.
Gearbox :
The automatic gearbox was replaced by a 4-speed OverDrive gearbox, the operation is smooth and compliant, the overdrive provides great comfort on the highway.
Undercarriages:
The rear axle is stable, very good handling. The behavior of the chassis is perfect. No play or noise is noted. The suspension is perfect.
Brakes:
Braking is perfect and in a straight line.
Little extras:
- Overdrive
- Type C cylinder head
