Our collector has a predilection for this model which he finds particularly elegant and usable, and which explains the presence of several examples in his collection, each with its particularities. Coming from California, this car was in original, unrestored condition when it was offered by Classic Car Service Restorations, Antwerp, from where the current owner bought it in 2002. It still had its black California plates and had the advantage of being equipped with its original engine with the "C" cylinder head. Our collector then comprehensively restored this car which had an extremely sound base. The folder has many photos showing the bare bodywork, the overhauled chassis and the refurbished mechanicals. An electric fan was added to avoid overheating problems.
Although the work was carried out 15 years ago, the car is still in beautiful condition, with a sober and beautiful black paint, appealing red upholstery and a varnished wooden dashboard that brings luxury to this sporting environment. As usual, the owner had two discrete USB sockets installed and a car radio connected to two speakers at the rear. Regularly maintained since the restoration, this XK 140 convertible is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful on the market.
