Ebay item 11/20/13
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-Drop-Head-Coupe-1955-jaguar-xk-140-mc-dhc-4-sp-od-ful ...
Car has a buy it now price of $145,000 for 6 days. 61k miles.
Sellers description:
Matching numbers 1955 factory 4sp/od XK140 SE'C' DHC (Chassis S817555DN), with many extra parts and nice XK collector items. Body-off restoration to original factory colors and specifications, basis of which was a one-owner, rust-free car. The drivetrain was done by one of the very best rebuilders in the US. The original title, sale invoice, and extensive maintenance history with receipts come with the car. The Pastel Green color was matched from the inner area of the bulkhead assembly. Original factory markings were preserved during restoration. Heritage Certificate included.
Some of the extras include matching bespoke luggage set, very rare correct factory Radiomobile AM radio (invisibly converted to AM/FM, MP3, etc.), of course original toolkit, manual, jack, and extremely rare factory Minor Replacement Outfit, Derrington steering wheel (worn out original black one included), set of five body-coloured wire wheels (the car presently sits on new chrome wire wheels, hubs, knock-offs, and tires), and the parts needed to convert the car to disc wheels and skirts, among other things.
A spare 'C'-Type cylinder head, overdrive gearbox, and unaltered positive earth Radiomobile AM radio set are included as well. Some unusual and interesting literature goes with the car, for example a first edition of 'XK140 Explored' (more than an inch thick of XK140 reference drawings and text), Jaguar Service Bulletins, a Lucas 400D electrical catalogue, and more... There are a LOT of spare parts of all kinds that go with the car, should they be desired.
The car has been fully fettled and runs & drives like a new car. I installed a 123Ignition distributor which makes it an even better driver. It is ready for extensive driving wherever you wish to go, not a trailer queen. What looks like scratches in the dash wood are not, they're reflections only.
The car is located north of Seattle, WA.
