Ebay item 4/5/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/100-FCTRY-ORIG-METAL-GAPS-MTCH-CALIF-JAG-XK120-XK150-/14 ...
Current bid $16,600 reserve not met, 11 bids 9 days left in auction. 50k miles.
Sellers description:
1955 Jaguar XK140 Fixed-Head MC Coupe with overdrive transmission. The most desired of all the early XK FH Coupe models produced. All numbers match: engine block, cylinder head, gearbox. This is a real MC model with solid factory metal and original gaps. We dry-ice blasted the undercarriage to expose the original spot welds: Please inspect the factory nuts and bolts, and note they appear easy to remove. Some of the thinner sheet metal will require rust repair, but the crucial body and frame structures are solid. This rare Jaguar was stored for 30 years. The fuel tank needs to be cleaned, but our phenomenal technician Gino ("The Genie") got it running in a few hours, using an auxiliary fuel pump and supply; the engine runs well with even compression. This XK140 had black California license plates, but they were stolen; the original license number is still documented on the title: VBD270. Opening bid US $6,600, no reserve, 5 bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Lowell, Massachusetts, 51k miles. Caution! This is a suspicious auction, same photos and virtual description from 2011 auction above.
