1956 Jaguar XK140MC Roadster. I purchased this car as a potential restoration project over 20 years ago off of a guy that had it stored for over 15 years! I am retired now and need to thin out the herd. When I purchased the car it did run but I took out the spark plugs and oiled the cylinders for long term storage in my climate controlled storage facility at that time. The engine turns over by hand now and attempting to fire it up would probably not be a good idea. The body is in very good rust free condition, there may be a few rust bubbles in the usual places but all body gaps fit quite nicely and all body panels and parts appear to be original. The inner and outer rockers are also in good condition along with the frame and outriggers and painted a British racing green opalescent color. It appears to be all there with the exception of the air filters and a few other small parts that are readily available. The key to any restoration is to start with an all together core car that is not in boxes full of missing parts. There are some rust repairs needed but it is very minor and not an entire panel. This is the very desirable High Performance version of the XK140 with the “C” type racing cylinder head. This car comes with a clean Ohio title in the sellers name.
