on auction at Historics at Brooklands:
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2017-05-20/cars/ref-10-1962-jaguar-e-type-se ...
Description:
Repatriated to the UK in late 1980's, this XK140 immediately underwent a full nut and bolt restoration when she was converted to righthand drive. The condition of the car currently can only be described as superb which is an indication as to the quality of the previous restoration work. The current vendor has owned UFF 669 for the last 26 years and has fastidiously maintained her regardless of cost. Even though this Jaguar has only covered some 6,000 miles under his stewardship, he has decided to invest significant sums of money in preparing the car for sale as he wants to ensure any new owner can enjoy this delightful car immediately, this includes having a full re-trim of the interior. Very few upgrades have been carried out on the car as the vendor is of the opinion to keep the car as close as possible to factory specification; however she has been fitted with a Kenlowe cooling fan, electronic ignition and electric choke. Finished in British Racing Green with beige leather interior, this XK140 is equipped with the 3.4 litre engine complete with the original C-type cylinder head and Moss gearbox. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate together with a history folder, this very rare 140 Roadster is one of the finest examples we have seen.
