Sellers description:
1955 Jaguar XK140 OTS.
Chassis number S810345
Engine Number G1522-8S
Body F 10351
Registration number HSK130
Just released from a private collection where it has been stored for many years & just serviced & run to the MOT station.
The car has clearly had an extensive restoration, of the nut and bolt variety. The body is utterly rust free both on top & underneath. The deep red paintwork is in gleaming condition. 4 good wire wheels are fitted to the 4 corners. The spare is also a wire & the car comes with an original hammer for the knock off hubs.
The leather is recent in black with red piping & black carpets. A mohair hood is tucked behind the seats.
Recorded mileage in 1995 was 24,288 & the mileage now is just 25,216 giving some idea of the sparing use this car has had.
The engine bay is nicely detailed & sports a C Type head for additional performance. She starts on the button & pulls strongly through the gears with smooth albeit slow changes from the moss 'box.
The car was restored sufficiently long ago to have developed a little patina rather then being restoration fresh. Thus it is an eminently usable car for summer motoring.
