Peter, Terry made a typo on the car number on 810081, which was incorrect. This is the right car.

Peter Ingram, I contacted Hornburg Los Angeles to find out if they know if our 140 was their first 140 import and who bought it. Unfortunately I cant seem to find an enthusiastic helper. Any suggestions??

1954 Built Jaguar XK140 Roadster

Chassis No. S810088

* Multiple Award Winner

* Comprehensive 1988 Restoration

* Certified by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust

This stunning XK open two-seater roadster boasts a number of qualities that heighten its desirability. Primarily, this Jaguar features the special equipment of the "MC" package, a fabulous option combination comprised of the "M" package (including a crankshaft damper, wire wheels, dual exhaust pipes, and twin fog lamps) as well as the high-compression C-type cylinder head that raised brake horsepower by 20 for a stout 210 BHP. This roadster is also capable of almost 120 mph. Almost 9,000 XK140 examples that were produced over the model's three-year lifespan but this 'C" version had less than 1,000 made. Our color combination is 1 of 45 made.

In addition to its fine factory specifications, this handsome Jaguar has benefited from the discriminating restoration and care by a marque expert with over 20 years of experience in concours-quality automobiles. Since then, the car has been successfully exhibited at the 1989 national JCNA meet where it averaged a spectacular score of 99%, and placing First in Class at the Minneapolis Aquatennial Concours d'Elegance in July 1989. Stored eversince.

This fine XK140 has been certified to be an authentic, matching-numbers example by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust and is offered with its original factory tool kit and owner's manual. In addition to its Dark Blue top, the car also features a canvas tonneau that matches its original factory shade of flawlessly detailed Pearl Gray paint. The interior was custom recreation of the original light blue piping and dark blue body color. Impeccably restored to the highest level of authenticity, this show-winning XK140 Roadster is a breathtaking example of the timeless, sleek design of the purest of the XK models.

Hi Lofty!
My car was not sent to auction ... it is going on the road in 2013 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the XK ... Thank you for the nice words ... you were 'spot on' as they say ...

The car is out of an 18 year sleep! It showed very well in the beautiful lakeside location. Next up is a trek into the Minnesota woods with other cars clubs from Minnesota and Canada ...
