GH "Bobby" Parkes went on to enter his fixed-head KFR 712 chassis S804453DN in the 1958 Monte Carlo Rally where he started from Glasgow with rally number 223. He did not manage to finish what turned out to be the toughest post-war Monte so far, with blizzards in France eliminating all but 38 of the 303 starters.
KFR712 had a long rallying career including the Circuit of Ireland, Monte Carlo rally, Scottish Rally, Morecambe Illumination Rally and many more. The car is now in the Lakeland Motor Museum in Cumbria:
