Auction description:
Vintage Motor Cars and Boats at the Houston Classic
Saturday, May 1, 2004 [Print]
1954 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe
ESTIMATE: $35,000 - $45,000
CHASSIS NO: 5681365
The handsome example offered here is from one of the largest growing collections in the state of Texas. Although an older restoration, the Jaguar has benefited from routine maintenance and care, and it is mechanically a solid and proficient runner. It is rare to
see cars remain in the care of their period owners for such a great duration of time and this Jaguar is certainlyworthy of close inspection by its potential new owner.

The Imperial War Museum Duxford Motor Car Auction 15/11/2017
Lot 89
1954 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe
Estimate: £70,000 - £80,000
This extremely attractive matching numbers 1954 XK was exported new to Venezuela where it was distributed to its first keeper by CAMAV of Caracas. At the time it was finished inside and out in Suede Green. At some stage it crossed into North America as it was from Washington DC that it was repatriated in 2014. The vendor purchased it from a private collection, since when the steering box, brake calipers and alternator have all received attention. These days `663 UYU' sports Ivory bodywork teamed with a Tan-coloured leather interior. It is considered to have `excellent' 3.4-litre XK engine and manual transmission, `very good' bodywork and interior trim, and `good' paintwork. It comes complete with Heritage certificate and an MOT valid to September 17 next year. A potentially fine addition to any classic car collection.
